Allegro? ACS758 current sensor IC series can provide economical and accurate solution for AC or DC current sensing. Typical applications include motor control, load detection and management, power supply and DC to DC converter control, inverter control and over current fault detection.
This device consists of a linear Holzer sensor circuit with high accuracy and low offset of a composition, and a copper conduction path located near the die. By applying the copper conduction path current can generate can be integrated Hall sensor IC and transformed into a proportional voltage magnetic field. By applying the magnetic signal to the Holzer sensor, the precision of the device is optimized. The precise, proportional output voltage is provided by the stable chopper type low offset BiCMOS Holzer IC, which has been programmed for accuracy at the IC factory.
Allegro unique integrated screen technology provides a high tolerance for current conductor dV/dt signals and stray electric fields, to ensure that the high end, high voltage applications in the low output voltage ripple and low bias drift.
The output of the device has a positive slope (>VCC/2) when the current of the main copper conduction path (from terminal 4 to terminal 5) is continuously rising. The internal resistance of the conduction path is typically 100 mu, with a low power loss.
The thickness of the copper wire allows the device to run under high current conditions. Electrical insulation of the connection end of the conduction path with the sensor pin (pin 3 to 1). In this way, the ACS758 sensor IC series can be used in applications that require electrical insulation, but not the use of a photovoltaic insulator or other expensive insulation technology.
Device is fully calibrated before shipment. ACS758 series is lead free products. All pins are plated with 100% matte tin, no lead exists within the package. A large number of gauge pin boxes are made of oxygen free copper.
